TNI & In Flight

The Night Immortal began as an experiment in structure and became the origin of Raymond Fisher. It takes place about 15 years prior to In Flight, a short scene during a storm.

In Flight: A man struggling with his brother’s death takes an overdue vacation and ends up consoling a younger man fresh off of a breakup. The content warnings are for this story specifically.

Raymond was inspired by two fictional characters: a manga character who was in love with his brother-in-law for 20 years, and a lonely god who loved the woman who would marry his brother. Since the god ruled over the night, I wanted Ray to be associated with light and chose the only English-language name I could think of that related to it. The god stars in a fic also called The Night Immortal.
